Roadmap

The goal of the initial phase is to get your economy running. Without resources, nothing else is possible, so all your attention should be focused on producing and storing.

• Upgrade your mines for Mineral, Crystal and Gas. They are your main source of income.
• Collect resources — collecting on asteroids gives a very juicy resource bonus.
• Research — in addition to improving your ships, it improves your production.
• Explore — exploring relics can give you crucial components for your ships.
• Never leave the construction queue empty before disconnecting.

With a stable economy, it is time to grow into space. Your goal to finish this phase is to have 4 planets and level 2 collections.

• Research propulsion and reactors to move fleets faster and spend less fuel.
• Focus on the resources you need — you should already have 3 or 4 collections of the resources you need most for your goals.
• Access more income sources — you should be thinking about attacking pirate fleets in flight; they are a good income source although risky and sometimes you can lose the fleet. Expeditions can also give you an extra bonus.
• Socialize — the universe evolves and so do players and alliances; get to know your neighbors and establish strategic relationships. Playing solo is feasible but in an alliance everything improves. Trade your surplus and buy what you need; it is more efficient to pay a little more to grow sooner.
• Check the calendar — in the General section of the Menu you have a calendar; keep an eye on universe events, some can greatly influence your short-term strategy.

In the mid-game phase your empire already has several planets and a stable and powerful resource source. It is time to specialize: decide if you want to be more military, mining-focused or concentrate on points. In this phase it already depends on you what goals you set, but let's lay out some basics.

• Specialize in one ship type — you should know by now which ship size you want to specialize in; although you will occasionally use all sizes, one will be your main. For that size, build your ship-building module.
• Nanofibra — this resource you haven't paid attention to until now starts to become very important and is only obtained by collecting asteroids. Have at least one collection and if possible two.
• Quality over quantity — instead of having more planets it is better to improve them through module construction; additionally there are very useful space constructions for your playstyle; check the wiki and build the ones you need.
• New goals — think about how your empire will evolve; you can win in many ways and all of them require at least a bit of the rest.

In the advanced phase you compete to reach the highest position in the ranking, whether by points or Victory Points. Thanks to space constructions you coordinate operations with your alliance and project power over entire sectors, traveling throughout the universe.

• Build Wonders and megastructures — create and destroy space constructions as it suits you. Fight for enclaves if you feel strong, even for the Wonder.
• Your territory is the universe — travel through all sectors to reach where you need using natural or artificial wormholes.
• Your fleet is feared — if you chose to be military, your fleets provide much income by attacking pirate fleets.
• Mothership — you have one or more as mobile bases to establish your dominance wherever needed.
