Alliance
What is an Alliance?
An Alliance is a group of players who unite to collaborate and help each other. Being part of an alliance provides you with strategic, social and economic advantages that will make your gaming experience much richer and more enjoyable.
Why join an Alliance?
- Mutual protection: Alliance members cannot attack each other and always fight as allies in combat.
- Shared vision: All member planets share their vision on the star map, allowing you to see more of the universe.
- Shared Victory Points: VP obtained from enclaves are distributed among all members.
- Exclusive upgrades: Alliance research grants bonuses that benefit all members.
- Community: You can coordinate with other players, share strategies and make friends.
- Alliance Bank: Members can deposit resources into a shared bank to fund alliance research.
- Pirate Assaults: Access waves of pirate fleets with unique rewards such as components, VP and necroids.
How do I join an Alliance?
In the 'Search alliance' tab you can see all available alliances that haven't reached their member limit. Select the one that interests you, write an introduction message and send your request. The alliance leader will review your request and decide whether to accept you.
How do I create my own Alliance?
In the 'Create alliance' tab you can found your own alliance. You just need to choose a unique name and a tag (abbreviation of maximum 5 characters). Optionally you can add a logo, banner and a public description visible to other players.
Alliance Roles
Founder/Leader: The one who created the alliance or to whom the leadership was transferred. Can accept/reject applications, expel members, edit the alliance, transfer leadership and dissolve the alliance.
Member: Enjoys all the benefits of the alliance and can choose upgrades when available. Cannot manage applications or expel other members.
The founder can transfer leadership to another member from the edit alliance section.
Benefits inside the Alliance
- VP obtained from enclaves are distributed among all alliance members.
- The vision provided by planets in astrometry is shared by all members, expanding your field of view of the universe.
- The vision provided by fleets in flight is not shared between members.
- In combat, members of an alliance are always allies and do not attack each other.
- Moving your starting planet closer to another player is only possible if they are part of your alliance.
- Access to the Alliance Bank to deposit and fund shared research.
- Access to cooperative Pirate Assaults with exclusive rewards.
- The general alliance view shows the recent evolution of total alliance points and each category.
Upgrade System
As the alliance researches Alliance technology, any member can choose upgrades that benefit everyone. There are 6 groups of upgrades that unlock cyclically, and for each research level one of three possible options is chosen. Upgrades are cumulative and can be repeated when the 6-group cycle completes.
Available upgrade categories:
- Production: Improves mine, industry and asteroid harvesting production.
- Capacity: Increases fleet, empire and assembly points.
- Rewards: Improves trade time and expedition and mission rewards.
- Costs: Reduces construction, research costs and improves debris obtained.
- Combat: Increases Hyper speed and modifies conquest times (attack and defense).
- Miscellaneous: Reduces module costs, improves planetary defenses and nanofibre production.
Alliance Research
Alliance research consists of shared technologies that unlock new upgrades for all members. They are funded with resources from the Alliance Bank.
- To research, you need the 'Alliance Bank' module installed in a Bank-type space construction.
- Alliance research has its own queue and does not interfere with your personal research.
- Each alliance member increases research costs by 20 % per member. Alliance research does not receive any discount for any reason.
Alliance Bank
The Alliance Bank is a shared resource storage used to fund alliance research. All members can contribute by depositing resources.
- To deposit, you need the 'Alliance Bank' module installed in a Bank-type space construction. Each module level grants a +2% bonus to the deposited amount, up to a maximum of +20% at level 10.
- The bank stores 10 types of resources: mineral, crystal, gas, plastic, ceramic, liquid, micros, fuel, AM and nanofibers.
- Bank resources are automatically spent when starting alliance research. If a research is cancelled, resources are returned to the Bank.
- You can check the history of the last 50 bank transactions, as well as each member's total contributions.
Alliance Limits
The maximum number of members in an alliance is 5. This limit scales with the number of active players in the round.
Alliance research does not receive any discount for any reason.
Cooldown Period
When you leave or are expelled from an alliance, there is a waiting period before you can join another or create a new one. This prevents frequent alliance changes and encourages commitment.
The cooldown period is 3 days during which you cannot join another alliance or create a new one.
Dissolve Alliance
If the founder dissolves the alliance, it is destroyed and all members are left without an alliance, with the same cooldown period as if they had voluntarily left. To avoid this, the founder can transfer leadership to another player before leaving.
Pirate Assaults
Pirate assaults are a series of pirate fleet waves that attack your position. Each assault is harder than the last, with more powerful fleets and better rewards. This is cooperative content exclusive to alliances.
- Requirements: belong to an alliance and have the alliance module installed in a Bank space construction. Access from the 'Pirate Assaults' tab on your Bank planet.
- When starting an assault, several pirate fleets are launched against your position with several hours between them. The second mission of each fleet is to orbit your position after the attack.
- If the bank from which you launch the assault has the Optimization module installed, pirate fleet power is reduced by 2.8% per level of that module (up to -28% at level 10).
- Pirate assaults do not generate debris.
- Each destroyed fleet grants rewards to all players on the winning side: components, victory points, and necroids.
- After starting an assault, your alliance advances to the next level. Defense and rewards scale progressively.
Tips for New Players
- If you're new, we recommend joining an existing alliance before creating your own. You'll learn a lot from experienced players.
- Look for active alliances with several members. A large and active alliance will provide you with more benefits and better protection.
- Communicate with your alliance mates. Coordination is key to success in all aspects of the game.
- Before leaving an alliance, think carefully. The cooldown period will prevent you from joining another for several days.
- Alliance upgrades are lost when leaving. If your alliance has many research levels, you will lose those bonuses.
- Deposit resources in the Alliance Bank regularly. Contributing to the bank helps the whole alliance advance faster.
- Install the 'Alliance Bank' module on your Bank space construction as soon as possible. It's required for alliance research and pirate assaults.
Advanced Tips
- Plan alliance upgrades with your team. The choice between the 3 options in each group can make a difference: prioritize production early in the round and combat later on.
- Level up the Alliance Bank module for a +2% bonus per level on each deposit. At high levels, the difference is significant.
- Coordinate pirate assaults with your teammates. The more defensive fleets at the position, the easier it is to overcome difficult levels and get better rewards.
- Use the shared astrometry vision to monitor enemy movements. Position planets strategically to maximize map coverage.
- Before switching alliances, compare the upgrades you'll lose with those you'll gain. An alliance with fewer members but more research levels may be more beneficial.
- Debris from battles between same-alliance members doesn't exist since there is no combat. Plan your attacks against players outside your alliance.
- Move your starting planet close to your allies to facilitate trade, mutual defense and fleet coordination. You can only move next to members of your alliance.
