Shipyard

All this information and the rest of the game in our  Wiki

What is the Shipyard?

  • The Shipyard is where you build, recycle and modify ships from designs you have previously created.
  • You can install specialization modules on each planet to reduce cost and speed up production for a specific ship size.
  • Specialization improves the more ships of that size you produce, granting progressive discounts on time and resources.
  • Each ship takes up Fleet Points (FP) based on its size. There is a global maximum limit of FP that grows automatically as the game progresses.
  • To build ships you need the Shipyard building on your planet. The higher its level, the faster you will produce.

What can I do in the Shipyard?

Build ships

Build ships from the designs you have created. You will need resources and available fleet points.

  • Resources are deducted immediately when queued
  • You can queue multiple ships at once in batches
  • Use the icon to build the maximum possible at once
Recycle ships

Dismantle ships you no longer need to recover part of the invested resources.

  • You recover a percentage of the invested materials
  • Frees up the Fleet Points they occupied
  • Useful for upgrading your fleet to more efficient designs
Modify ships

Transform existing ships to another design of the same size. Much more efficient than recycling and rebuilding!

  • You only pay the resource difference between designs
  • Takes less time than building a new ship from scratch
  • Does not consume additional Fleet Points

Production queues

Shipyard queues are grouped by size and specialization. Each group keeps its own independent build order (Fighters, Corvettes, Cruisers, Battleships, Titans).

  • Modifications are queued in the same group as the original ship.
  • Queues are global per planet: all planet queues are shown together at the top.
  • If you have specialization modules, specialized sizes are managed in their own group with their bonuses applied.
  • You can cancel queue orders at any time. You will recover part of the invested resources.

Ship sizes

Fighters

Small, cheap and agile ships. Perfect for moving very fast in combat and reaching all targets.

  • Their strength lies in numbers — easily replaceable
  • They have no hyperspace drive of their own and must always travel inside hangars
  • Useful as planetary defence or as escorts for larger ships on quick raids
Corvettes

A great balance between speed, cost and firepower.

  • Ideal for quick raids and interceptions
  • Versatile: exploration, combat and cargo
  • The best starting point for new players
Cruisers

Line ships with solid armour and capacity.

  • Great as support ships — freighters, carriers or freighter escorts
  • Ideal as a multi-purpose vessel
  • The backbone of a balanced fleet
Battleships

Capital ships with massive firepower.

  • High firepower and great resilience
  • Usually the spearhead of offensive operations
  • Decisive in large-scale battles
Titans

The most powerful and expensive ships in the universe.

  • Maximum destructive power and the longest reach
  • Enormous hangars capable of housing entire fleets
  • Ideal for besieging planets with heavy defences
Fleet points by size
Fighter fleet points cost: 1
Corvette fleet points cost: 4
Cruiser fleet points cost: 16
Battleship fleet points cost: 64
Titan fleet points cost: 256

Build speed

Shipyard Level

The higher the level of your Shipyard building, the faster you will build all ships. The level affects all sizes equally.

Tip: You may need to produce ships in parallel on multiple planets at some point.

Specialization modules

You can build specialization modules on your planet to reduce the cost and build time of a specific ship size.

Tip: Specialize each planet in a different size to maximize your empire's efficiency.

Guide for new players

1
Design first, then build

Before coming to the shipyard, go to the Designs section and create your ship blueprints. Without at least one design you cannot build anything.

2
Start with corvettes

Corvettes are the best starting point: they have a hyperdrive, are relatively cheap, and can be used for exploration, combat, and resource transport.

3
Diversify your fleet

Don't build only combat ships. You will need cargo ships to transport resources and mining ships to harvest asteroids.

4
Modify instead of recycling

When you improve a design, use Modify to transform your existing ships to the new design. You save resources, time, and don't spend Fleet Points.

5
Upgrade the Shipyard level

A high-level shipyard dramatically reduces build time. It's an investment that pays off quickly if you produce many ships.

6
Research improves your ships

Your already built ships automatically improve when you upgrade weapon, armor, engine research, etc. No need to rebuild them.

Advanced strategies

Multi-planet specialization
  • It is often efficient to centralize the production of all ships on a single planet and install the corresponding specialization modules, although this makes you more vulnerable.
  • It is possible that to mass-produce fighters or corvettes, you will need multiple planets producing them simultaneously, as although the production queues are independent, rapid ship replenishment can be important.
  • Having a mothership to produce ships gives you many tactical options for attack and retreat.
Fleet Points management
  • FP are a limited global resource. Plan your fleet composition before building to avoid wasting them.
  • Titans cost 256 FP each. Consider whether that investment is worth it or if several smaller ships would perform better.
  • Recycle obsolete ships to free up FP and build more modern and effective designs.
Always modify when possible
  • Modifying a ship costs only the resource difference between the old and new design. Recycling and rebuilding is far more expensive.
  • Modifying does not spend additional Fleet Points, as the ship keeps the FP it already had assigned.
  • Update your designs in the Designs section and then modify your entire fleet at once from the shipyard.
Coordination and timing
  • If your planet is attacked, the production queue pauses automatically. Plan your production when you don't expect attacks.
  • Coordinate with your alliance to mass produce before important offensive or defensive operations.
  • Take advantage of build speed events to queue large amounts of ships while they are active.

Frequently asked questions

It could be for several reasons:
  • Insufficient resources: Costs appear in red if you don't have enough.
  • Fleet points exhausted: Check your available Fleet Points.
  • No shipyard: You need to build the Shipyard building on your planet.
  • Planet in combat: You cannot build while your planet is being attacked.

The universe's maximum fleet points automatically increases over time equally for all players. It's a global limit that grows as the game progresses, so plan your fleet for the long term.

Yes, you can cancel any order in the queue by clicking the cancel button. You will recover a percentage of the resources invested (not 100%).

Note: If you cancel a modification in progress, the original ship returns to your inventory unchanged.

When your planet enters combat, the production queue is temporarily paused. Once the combat ends (win or lose), production continues automatically where it left off.

Modifying is always more efficient. You only pay the resource difference between the old and new design, it takes less time, and does not spend additional Fleet Points. If you recycle and build, you lose part of the resources in recycling and spend FP again.

Shipyard queues are grouped by size and specialization. Each group (fighters, corvettes, cruisers, etc.) maintains its own independent production queue. This allows ships of different sizes to build in parallel if they are in different groups. Modifications are queued in the same group as the original ship.
